Astringents and toners with glycolic or alpha hydroxy acids (barring photosensitive ones) are advisable.

Removal of dead skin cells, known as exfoliation, is essential and should be done regularly. Post shave, moisturizing may be necessary. Moisturizers with heavy fragrance may cause irritation to the skin, thus should be avoided.
Excessive shine will make the skin appear greasy. Excessive oil should be removed using blotting papers and gentle powder for that natural look. A balm with SPF of at least 15 or peppermint oil will keep your skin looking moist.

Over-exposure to the Sun can cause brown spots, i.e. hyper pigmentation, which may thereafter lead to serious skin disease. This also thickens your fine lines and makes them apparent. Use an SPF 15 or higher on all exposed skin, especially on your face is advisable.
Exercise is essential for a youthful skin as it decreases premature aging by increasing oxygen to the tissues. You should also have a healthy diet with an ample quantity of vitamins C and E, which are aids to maintaining healthy skin. Excessive alcohol, smoking, fatigue and stress, which lead to premature aging and a decrease facial circulation, must be avoided.
