Increasing exercise will also help to alleviate high blood pressure. Increased exercise strengthens your cardiovascular system and lowers blood cholesterol levels. Exercise temporarily increases blood flow which helps reduce the restriction in the arteries caused by poor diet.
The third lifestyle change is reducing stress. This may also be useful in treating your high blood pressure. There are many stress reduction techniques to consider. You may want to consult a professional to decide which method would work best for you. Some options to consider include meditation, yoga, exercise, visualization, and hypnosis. Biofeedback is another excellent option.
